My September 2022 Blog features the 2023 Calendar, “Messages of Light from Around the World” - now available in both wall and desk size options. For over a decade, I have produced an annual calendar to support the global mission of the Foundation for the Advancement of International Medical Education and Research to improve the health of communities through health professions education and health care.

THANK YOU to those who completed my survey to select the images in the “Light Around the World Series” to include in the 2023 calendar! Several gave reasons for their picks – particular images, clarity of reading the quote, author of the quote – this was some of helpful feedback I received. Interesting to me, about half the images selected were broad vistas, and half a close focus on something.

There were two that were clear winners.

China – Lighting the Cracks 

United States – Dramatic Red Sunflower 

Six others ranked close behind, and are also included!

• Canada - Dramatic Sunset 
• Curacao – Community of Colors
• Uganda – Flower Simplicity
• Mexico – Fish Ascending to Light
• England – Garden Rainbow of Colors
• Brazil – Dawn in the Amazon

And the calendar is completed with images from other countries, or with quotes that I particularly resonate with.
